Procedure Info

Our skin is the largest organ in our body. It’s largely responsible for protecting us against drying out or getting poisoned from toxic compounds and microorganisms in the environment. But many people overlook the fact that our skin plays a very important role in our sex appeal. Beautiful, young looking skin is an ideal that has been around for ages and plays an enormous role in how we feel about ourselves. People with youthful looking skin not only look younger, but feel and act younger as well.

Microdermabrasion is one of several important skin maintenance procedures that is often forgotten. It is the process of evenly and safely exfoliating, or removing dead skin cells from the skin. This is accomplished by using a special device that circulates aluminum oxide crystals on the skin and then suctions these crystals and the resulting loosened dead skin cells from the surface. Just below the surface of these dead skin cells is a fresher, younger looking surface. Since your skin is constantly producing new skin cells, bringing these newer cells to the surface produces a brighter, clearer, more evenly toned, younger appearance. Other benefits include the improvement or appearance of scars, fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation problems.

Microdermabrasion is a comfortable, gentle procedure that can be performed in about 30 minutes. Patients will have no problem continuing on with their busy schedule immediately following treatment. For best results patients should maintain a monthly regimen of microdermabrasion treatments to keep their skin looking its best.
