If you are a victim of spider and varicose veins, you know the embarrassment that comes at the very thought of wearing shorts or a skirt in the summer. No one wants to wear jeans in the summer in order to hide their spider and varicose veins. Endo Venus Laser Treatment is a brand new treatment that is available at LaserMed Skin and Vein Clinic located in Johns Creek, serving the surrounding Atlanta Metro areas. What is so different about the Endo Venus Laser Treatment procedure, its recovery process, and overall success rate from other vein reduction procedures?
This treatment for spider and varicose veins uses laser energy that is guided by ultrasound methods to heal the condition in a minimally invasive manner. All Endo Venus Laser Treatment sessions performed at the LaserMed Skin and Vein Clinic will be done by Dr. Jean Chapman, a board certified phlebologist.
Endo Venus Laser Treatment uses an optical fiber that Dr. Chapman inserts into the corrupted vein. Once this is done, the laser will shine in the vein. The vein will then contract, after which the optical fiber will be withdrawn. Even though minor complications such as: numbness around the thighs; deep venous thrombosis; and bruising can occur after the procedure is completed, the rate at which spider and varicose veins reappear is less than five percent.
The skin over the treatment area will first be anesthetized. Dr. Chapman will then make a very small incision, after which she will insert an optical fiber into the varicose vein. Ultrasound will be used to confirm the compromised varicose vein. The optical fiber will then be heated with a low energy. The heated energy from the optical fiber will cause the vein walls to contract, shrink and close. After this happens, no blood will be able to flow through that particular vein. The painless procedure takes between 30 to 60 minutes.
After the procedure, there is little to no postoperative pain due to the minimally invasive nature of the treatment. Minor soreness and aches can be treated with over-the-counter medications. Dr. Chapman will encourage you to walk around and resume your normal routine in order to speed up the recovery process.
No one should have to deal with spider and varicose veins. Endo Venus Laser Treatment can be just the thing to get you back into those shorts! Call or email the LaserMed Skin and Vein Clinic. We would love to answer your questions and address all of your concerns.
