Ultimate Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Fractionated CO2 Laser Resurfacing is one of the most effective procedures to improve skin quality and texture, while reducing fine and moderately deep lines. Fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing relies on stimulating collagen synthesis. It’s results are very impressive and more natural appearing than when relying on injectable fillers alone. Fractionated Laser treatments produce impressive results with for skin types. Jean Chapman, M.D., at LaserMed Skin & Vein Clinic in Alpharetta, GA, is proud to offer the treatments to her patients.
Fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing yields dramatic improvement in skin tone and texture; evens out pigmentation and eliminates sunspots, as well as smoothes lines, including those around the mouth and eyes. By physically removing the top layers of damaged skin, fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing also has medical benefit, removing pre-cancers and stimulating growth of healthier younger skin.
How Does It Work?
Fractionated CO2 laser treatment is an FDA approved treatment, that utilizes a “dot” pattern to create thousands of microscopic perforations in the skin while leaving the areas around each “dot” intact. This fractional laser allows for the skin to heal more quickly from the edge of these tiny “dots.” The overall procedure is safer, faster and more efficient. Dr. Chapman is an expert at lasers. She is able to customize treatment specifically to the patient and even modify treatment during the procedure for various skin challenges or problem areas.
Fractionated CO2 is Great for a Variety of Complexion Problems
This Fractionated CO2 laser therapy, uses the SmartXide DOT CO2 laser, which offers the ultimate in skin rejuvenation in just under an hour for most treatments. Post Treatment and Recovery
You will receive detailed instructions for postoperative care from Dr. Chapman. Following these instructions is essential for maximizing your comfort, for achieving best results, and to avoid complications.
After your CO2 laser resurfacing treatment, you will look like you have a bad sunburn and your skin will be warm. Initially, swelling is usually most significant around the eyes. It is normal for the skin to be moist and even contain some crusting. Over the course of 3-5 days, the old damaged skin will begin to come off and light flaking will continue for up to 10 days. Although your skin can remain pink for a few weeks, most patients are able to apply make-up in 7-10 days post-treatment. We will watch your healing closely to make sure you are progressing well and that you are healing as expected. Dr. Chapman and her staff are available for any questions you may have during your recovery period.
Basic skin care, thorough cleaning, and sun protection are key to ensuring your results last. Wear sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure whenever possible, but especially in the weeks following treatment.
Each patient is unique; therefore, results of treatment vary.
