Jean Chapman, M.D. has found FractoraRF to be the best procedure to use in acne scarring as well as the treatment of active acne. It can also be used to improve skin tone problems (photo damage) to deep textural concerns (rhytids and tightening).
How FractoraRF Works
FractoraRF is a fractional radio frequency microneedle device that works by administering thermal energy (heat) through tiny pins. These pins injure the skin slightly, removing damaged skin and promoting new collagen growth. The radio frequency sends arcs of energy through your skin cells, heating them up to put collagen production into overdrive, as well a shrinking the skin’s oil glands. Excess oil is one of the main causes of acne. By eliminating or shrinking those oil glands, it hinders the skin’s ability to produce that trouble-starting sebum.
Acne was not the primary target for FractoraRF. FractoraRF’s main application was for tightening the skin and correcting crepey texture via increased collagen productions. Dr. Jean Chapman explains that she discovered this combination had a significant effect on acne scarring and active acne breakouts.
